About me...

I have been a photographer, in one form or another, for over 40 years.  Yikes, that's a long time!  It's something that I love to do and has been a part of me for my entire life.

I remember my first official photography "job".  I was a freshman in high school and had just joined the High School newspaper as a student photographer/reporter.   My first assignment was to write an article about the new football coach and to take his photo to print with the article.  My dad, a professional photographer himself,  had given me a used Yashica 35mm rangefinder camera...very "old school"!  I remember how proud he was when I showed him the article with my photo.   I lost dad in 1995 but he passed on his love of photography to me, his youngest child.    Dad also passed on his love of animals. I love all photography, but my greatest source of joy and personal satisfaction is from capturing the spirit and personality of a pet.   I would be honored if you entrusted me with creating a one-of-a-kind piece of art of you and your cherished pet.

I'm a proud member of HeARTs Speak (wwwheartsspeak.org) and NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals).

I put in countless volunteer hours for animal rescue.  Mostly with Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue (www.louieslegacy.org).   I photograph rescue animals, volunteer at adoption events, transport,  foster and in 2012 was the Chairperson for their community fundraising event.   I have photographed hundreds of rescue animals of all shapes, sizes and breeds.  And I love them all.

On June 19th of 2014, we suffered a devastating house fire that not only destroyed the inside of our home; but took the lives of 6 of our 7 beloved pets.  Of the 7, Lucy was the only one to survive.   It has been extremely difficult to move forward from this tragedy.  Only through the support, love and kindness of family and friends have we been able to pick ourselves up and move on.    On October 12th of 2014, we adopted Huck, a 7 month old Beagle mix boy.  He has been the light my husband and I, and Lucy, needed to bring us out of the darkness.   I will always love and miss our Buttercup, Jethro, Peanut Butter, Sabrina, Wilson and Geraldine.
